How long will I live? | Wolfgang Fengler | TEDxVienna
For most of human history, people only lived until the age of 40 – if they were lucky. Only since some 200 years ago, humans have had the luxury to live longer. Our generation is the first to hope living twice as long as the historical average. Wolfgang Fengler is the World Bank’s Lead Economist in Vienna where he covers Southeast Europe. A native German, Wolfgang has been with the World Bank for 15 years, during which time he lived in four continents. He also co-hosts the “Future Development” blog. Previously, Wolfgang was the CEO of Africa Consulting, LLC, and a Fellow at the Research Institute for International Relations.
