What if we helped refugees to help themselves? | Alexander Betts | TEDxVienna
Today, Europe is facing a mass influx of refugees, just as it did when Alexander Betts began working on this topics, 16 years ago. Politicians and the international community are struggling to deal with or even formulate a common answer. The current Director of the Refugee Studies Centre at the University of Oxford will shed more light on misconceptions and facts around this issue, challenging you to rethink many aspects of the crisis.
Alexander Betts is Professor of Refugee and Forced Migration Studies and Director of the Refugee Studies Centre at Oxford University. He is the author of several books and founder of the Humanitarian Innovation Project.
