Covid-19 Safety Terms

These are the Covid-19 Safety Terms that govern your attendance at and/or participation in an TEDxVienna – Verein für die Verbreitung innovativer Ideen (collectively referred to herein as “TEDxVienna”) event (the “Event”). By registering for the Event you are agreeing to these terms, which form a legal contract between TEDxVienna and the registered attendee and/or participant (“you”). If you are registering on behalf of another it is your responsibility to ensure that the person attending is aware of these terms and accepts them, and by completing the registration you are warranting that you have made the attendee aware of these terms and that they have accepted these terms.

1. Venue admission

1.1. Admission to the conference & event space will be only available to ticket holders who have been either vaccinated or recovered from Covid-19.

1.2. Proof of vaccination can be made with the official Green Pass mobile app, which you can download here and with a valid vaccination passport.

1.3. Proof of recovery from Covid-19 can be made only with the official Green Pass mobile app.

1.4. Additionally every attendee has to provide proof of being tested negative for Covid-19. We only accept PCR tests that are not older than 48 hours.

1.5. Tests need to be issued by a medical authority; self-tests are not valid.

1.6. This also applies to ticket holders who have received Covid-19 vaccinations.

1.7. If you are not able to show official vaccination / recovery status and negative test results, we cannot grant you access to the venue. Your ticket will not be refunded.

1.8. Ticket holders who have tested positive for COVID-19 and therefore cannot attend the event can transfer their ticket by reaching out to info@tedxvienna.at and providing official documentation.

2. Safety measures

2.1. Our venue design will allow more space for physical distancing if necessary - this will mean fewer seats in the theater but plenty of comfortable, spacious seating throughout.

2.2. Ticket holders will comply with safety protocols imposed by local authorities at the time of the event. These might included but are not limited to:

- wearing a protective mask while in the venue;
- assigned seating;
- special catering arrangements;
- regular disinfection of hands.

2.3. With guidance from experts and following local safety protocols, we’re planning extra protective measures including enhanced hand-washing facilities, frequent disinfecting of highly trafficked areas and an easy testing and contact tracing strategy both before and during the conference to ensure the health and safety of all attendees, staff, our vendors and the local TEDxVienna community.

3. Contact tracing

3.1. Attendees who develop symptoms consistent with COVID-19, such as fever, cough, or shortness of breath, are required to notify TEDxVienna at info@tedxvienna.at.

3.2. Should either attendees or staff members be diagnosed with COVID-19 post event, TEDxVienna will notify both authorities and attendees.

4. Liability

4.1. The attendee agrees to not hold TEDxVienna liable if they contract COVID-19 during their experience at the event
